“Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.”
— George Bernard Shaw; Caesar and Cleopatra
This should be taken to heart by everyone, no matter what they do or where they come from. –I know far too many people who simply can’t imagine anything but their way. –Sometimes, when I catch myself thinking this way, I have to step back and consider if I am acting like a barbarian.
Good quote…I will remember it for future reference!
That is a very nice quote Tom.
Thanks for posting the quote. I stole it from your blog and used it in a reply to an anti-Obama message that was allegedly from a Billy Graham associate. It was exactly what needed to be said and much more eloquent than anything I could come up with.
Thanks,
Jim
Probably a good thing I didn’t see Random Quote #2 first.
Best wishes,
