Now that I’m feeling a little better, I decided to do more playing with the new camera. Here are a quartet of new pictures that, I think, are an improvement over the previous batch.

Ground Squirrel
This little guy thought he was going to get inside where it is warm. Either that or he was grabbing seeds dropped from the bird feeder.

Contrails at Sunset
I think I’m starting to get a handle on some of the features on this camera. The trick will be getting familiar enough to use them quickly and efficiently.
Looking good. I especially like the last two.
We saw the greatest pink sky here the morning after daylight savings time (or as they call it in Germany, Summer Time) ended. It was quite spectacular, but unfortunately there are still too many leaves on the trees outside our balcony to get a picture that looked any good…
So I will have to enjoy my sunsets through your photos.
WOW! All look good but especially like the Contrails at Sunset; I’m sorry that I personally missed the event. Boy, this camera is doing wonderful; I can’t believe the sharpened images and great contrasts as opposed to your other camera.
Those are some really good pictures Tom! The Contrails would indicate you are at a key navigational point out there! Keep up the good work on that new D 80!
Dropped in to tell you the pics are great.
Loved them all. I will have to get busy with my blog I started some time ago.
Alice, be sure to let me know when you get your blog going. I’ll put a link to it here.
Thank you Tom. I have been trying to figure it all out and have aadded a few. I do not know how to do some things yet but guess maybe will learn through just trying. http://algras.wordpress.com/
